One Month Post Op

I can't believe how fast my first month has flown by! I haven't yet seen many physical changes, but I definitely feel emotionally stronger and ready for the journey!

I have no true desire to eat "junk" I can watch others enjoy chips, cake, candy with having the urge to inhale any of it! This is the biggest change for me! I still get hungry, but I am easily satisfied, and am making a HUGE effort to get enough protein from food, and rarely need to supplement with a shake at this point.

I am still struggling with vitamin and fluid intake, but my labs came back okay, so I will just keep working the program and drinking as much as I can! I am on Bariatric Fusion, and I do get at least 3 of the 4 tablets daily.

Now for the weigh in... I was at 371 pounds! That is 55 pounds lost since my journey began, and 50 lost since a week before surgery.

My current measurements are:
Neck: 17" (-1)
Upper Arms: 22" (0)
Wrists: 7.5" (-.5 on each, -1 total)
Breasts: 56" (0)
Bra Band Size: 52" (0)
Waist: 51" (-1)
Stomach: 55" (-1)
Hips: 64" (-3)
Thighs: 34" (-1 each, -2 total)
Ankles: 11" (-1 each, -2 total)
Total Lost - 11 inches!

My hips may be the biggest loss, but I can really see it in my ankles! No more "swelling" there... and I no longer have Flintstones feet!

Not much to see yet in the pictures, but here are this month's up-to-date shots! And one of Trix since he was determined to be a ham last night!

Two Weeks Out...

I am down 39.2 lbs! This takes me to 383.3! I am on my way!!!

No real noticed differences physically although my husband says he can see it in my face. My jeans are loose, the seatbelt is looser in the car... but since my upper belly is still swollen, I haven't really noticed anything measurement wise, although I have not done office measuring, and won't until my one month anniversary.

I am hoping to attend my first support meeting next Monday back at St. Agnes. I swore I wasn't going back there unless forced, but I want to get the most out of surgery, so I am going to suck it up and go...
